RoR @ Sports Social Network

We are currently seeking a Ruby on Rails Developer to develop and support our sports-centric social network platform.

Areas of Responsibility

• Design and develop significant new features as well as frequent ongoing improvements.
• Work independently and in a team environment discussing, defining and designing the future of the product
• Ensure the stability, scalability, and robustness of our site

Requirements:

• Proven track record developing scalable and robust cross browser web applications.
• Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails, its ecosystem of gems, and Web 2.0 technologies such as AJAX, Javascript, and CSS.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or prior work experience that is applicable to the position.
• Exceptional character, self-motivated, honest, entrepeneurial spirit, team-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability
• Experience with Flash/Flex/Actionscript, Apache webserver, Linux, webservices, XML and mysql database is a plus

I work at mirRoR, where we connect agile Rails developers and employers.

We started as Rails programmers ourselves (and are currently working on a few social, facebook, and iPhone apps). This background and network help us identify quality opportunities in the industry.
