Connect Teams and Artists with Fans!

About us:
  • We are a venture-funded start-up that connects artists and sports teams with fans via Web 2.0 technology.  We are building an exciting new product that has won fantastic early adoption with artists and teams, such as Gwen Stefani, Beyonce, and The Oakland Raiders.  For a preview, check out the widget on the middle of the page at www.gwenstefani.com
  • We have three engineers and eight employees total. We have veteran leadership that has founded profitable public companies. You’ve heard of the companies our team has helped build.
  • Our office is in downtown San Francisco near Muni and BART. There are 100+ restaurants within three blocks.
  • We're friendly, fun, flexible and outgoing. Because of the nature of our business, we all frequent the SF music scene. One of us is even the lead singer of a successful band.

Ideally you:
  • Have used Ruby on Rails, and if not are *fired up* to do so after working with other OO languages.
  • Have implemented CRUD based websites for the past few years.
  • Will stand behind your code and won’t hesitate to provide production support
  • Have a BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Are a self-starter and have strong communication skills: you don’t hesitate to make your point.

We use: (the more of this you know, the better)
  • Ruby on Rails
  • MySQLJavaScript and AJAX
  • Flash
  • HTML, CSS
  • Apache / Mongrel / Linux
  • Open source
  • Macs (but we do allow PCs too)

Compensation: will be a mix of cash and equity.

Brian Mariani, Ruby on Rails RecruiterHi, I’m Brian

I work at mirRoR, where we connect agile Rails developers and employers.

We started as Rails programmers ourselves (and are currently working on a few social, facebook, and iPhone apps). This background and network help us identify quality opportunities in the industry.

That’s especially important today. While many venture-backed web 2.0 startups are cutting costs amidst this economic climate, we are working with a number of companies that are self-sufficient, cash-positive, and well capitalized for the long-term.

I’d be eager to briefly discuss where you are in the process and see if there is a potential fit, either for the opportunities listed here, or those posted elsewhere.

Let’s chat!
