Live Events Search Platform

We are an early-stage consumer Internet company with a mission to revolutionize the ways that fans find and enjoy their favorite live events, through a comprehensive and easy-to-use search experience. The company is well-funded by a top-tier venture capital firm and has recruited a world-class management team with leading technology and domain expertise.

We need to create a customer experience which makes things really easy for the fan. This includes having near-real-time data feeds pulled in, indexed, and searchable; a fast, compelling, and fun user experience; and a great set of analytics and reports for our partners to use to make good decisions. If a good portion of the below statements apply to you, we'd love to meet you!

  • You love working with a passionate team to create a good customer experience.
  • You are good at putting yourself in the shoes of one of your customers, anticipating their problems, and solving them.
  • You understand Ruby and Ruby on Rails really well. You love the power of Ruby and Rails but you understand the effect on the database and how to be efficient at the same time.
  • You think it would be fun to create something that will work on browsers as well as hand-held devices (phones, PDAs, iPhone).
  • You understand CSS + XHTML and restful APIs, are comfortable iterating on product design, and have an intuitive sense of how to make software fast and easy for people to use.

Brian Mariani, Ruby on Rails RecruiterHi, I’m Brian

I work at mirRoR, where we connect agile Rails developers and employers.

We started as Rails programmers ourselves (and are currently working on a few social, facebook, and iPhone apps). This background and network help us identify quality opportunities in the industry.

That’s especially important today. While many venture-backed web 2.0 startups are cutting costs amidst this economic climate, we are working with a number of companies that are self-sufficient, cash-positive, and well capitalized for the long-term.

I’d be eager to briefly discuss where you are in the process and see if there is a potential fit, either for the opportunities listed here, or those posted elsewhere.

Let’s chat!
