Consumer Usability and Agility

We are a top tier venture-funded startup creating products that bring the usability and agility of the consumer world into the enterprise. We are looking for the engineers who will define the "DNA of the company"- developers who are passionate about shipping innovative products on the web and refuse to work with anything but the best people.

We currently have an opening for a Lead Application Engineer to own the front-end development of applications delivered via the website.

A good candidate will:

  • Feel that success on the front-end is the magic mix of server-side development combined with browser rendering
  • Have deep knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of at least one development stack (e.g. Dojo + Java + Spring; Ruby on Rails; etc.)
  • Be addicted to incremental product delivery and building products people use

The best candidate will have:

  • Developed in Ruby or similar dynamic language like python, php, or perl
  • Experience with cross-browser issues in the DOM and CSS
  • Experience with AjAX, JSON and all things JavaScript
  • Cal Henderson's Building Scalable Web Site on your bedside table

Brian Mariani, Ruby on Rails RecruiterHi, I’m Brian

I work at mirRoR, where we connect agile Rails developers and employers.

We started as Rails programmers ourselves (and are currently working on a few social, facebook, and iPhone apps). This background and network help us identify quality opportunities in the industry.

That’s especially important today. While many venture-backed web 2.0 startups are cutting costs amidst this economic climate, we are working with a number of companies that are self-sufficient, cash-positive, and well capitalized for the long-term.

I’d be eager to briefly discuss where you are in the process and see if there is a potential fit, either for the opportunities listed here, or those posted elsewhere.

Let’s chat!
