Are you a web guru? We are seeking a talented Senior Web Developer to help drive the vision for and the development of our web applications. You will be responsible for creating amazing experiences for the buyers and sellers of digital imagery.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership to the engineering team in web front-end development.
  • Collaborate with leadership of the design and engineering teams to create the UI architecture for our future applications. 
  • Collaborate with the broader product team on requirements, conventions and implementation of our web applications. 
  • Work closely with the Design team to create compelling, engaging and differentiated user experiences for our product. 
  • Design, code, and test web applications, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/XSLT and Ruby on Rails. 
  • Own projects from requirements gathering through implementation and QA.


Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of production-quality web development experience, with skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/XSLT, AJAX and Ruby on Rails. Previous experience with ASP.NET and C# is desirable, but not required.
  • Recent experience delivering public web services at scale. 
  • Strong command of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, optimization techniques, accessibility and internationalization issues. 
  • Ability to take projects from the requirements phase through successful deployment. 
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Must be a highly technical, customer focused and motivated self-starter who is able to work in a fast-moving startup environment with dynamic requirements and active customer support. 
  • Previous experience in digital imaging and workflow is very desirable. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently. 
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline. 
  • Candidates must be qualified to work in the US.


As part of the interview process, you will be required to demonstrate your coding skills to members of the technical staff. Interviews will take place in Seattle and/or New York.

This is a contract position, based in Seattle, WA. There is potential for this position to become full-time, with benefits and stock options. Some US travel will be required (10% or less).
