We are quickly ramping up our Rails development team and have an immediate need to fill a seasoned Rails developer to work along our technical director in a full time position based in our SoHo storefront office. We are a youth development nonprofit based in NYC. We are building an interactive communication system for young people through a network of regional listening lines and an information database website. Our services compile youth-friendly information from around the country through mapping projects where young people canvass their communities, block-by-block, finding youth-friendly resources.

We will make college more relevant, social, and effective. It is a college specific meetup.com with friendfeed style group and individual feed aggregation. Students tag themselves and compare interests in their groups. The goal is to able to say to a freshmen: Welcome to college! People like you are in these groups, taking these classes, talking about these things. The application is currently up and deployed to 40 schools.
