Corporate Website Design & Development
The Web Developer will be responsible for the ongoing creation and design of the client website according to specification but employed full-time by our company in Nashville, TN.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To design and develop the corporate website ensuring strong functionality and optimization
- To design and develop relational database systems and their web interfaces.
- Expert-level command of hand-coded, standards compliant, cross-browser supported XHTML and CSS2
- Responsible for the design of company web pages, including graphics, animation and functionality.
- To develop web page infrastructure and application related to pages with more advanced graphics and features.
- To assist the Product Manager in the planning of overall company strategy regarding web development and search engine optimization.
- To monitor web server and site technical performance.
- This role will have administrative privileges to make add / change to tables within the website.
Skills / Attributes Required:
- Proven Web and Database Development experience utilizing a Ruby on Rails framework
- In depth knowledge of Web Development technologies - to include XHTML, HTML, CSS, Ruby, JavaScript, Web Development, AJAX, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Visio, Flash, XML
- Strong database knowledge specifically SQL Server or MySQL
- Web / Graphical Design skills would be desirable.
- Ability to provide significant input to user interface and look and feel functionality requirements
- Ability to quickly learn and understand internal systems and methodologies
- A flexible attitude with proven experience of working in a small team.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
