We are a startup working to change the way people give of their time, money, and ideas to help others--and we need a lead developer to help get us there.
Our number one requirement is that you are a great developer, which means you can use technology to solve complex problems and see the big picture of a system. We need someone who has enough experience to mentor one or more developers and establish efficient development processes, which probably means 4 or more solid years of development.
We'd prefer a Ruby expert, but if you have built big Web systems in something else (like PHP) we can still talk. Ideally, you could bring some front-end development and sys admin chops to the table as well. We have a very committed investment team and a great working environment in downtown Washington DC. Partial telecommuting might be an option if you're really good.

Hi, I’m Brian
I work at mirRoR, where we connect agile Rails developers and employers.
We started as Rails programmers ourselves (and are currently working on a few social, facebook, and iPhone apps). This background and network help us identify quality opportunities in the industry.
That’s especially important today. While many venture-backed web 2.0 startups are cutting costs amidst this economic climate, we are working with a number of companies that are self-sufficient, cash-positive, and well capitalized for the long-term.
I’d be eager to briefly discuss where you are in the process and see if there is a potential fit, either for the opportunities listed here, or those posted elsewhere.
